Three Steps to Publish Your Content to JSTOR

Ready to start sharing your content with millions of researchers on JSTOR? Follow these three easy steps to go live.

Step 1: Create and customize an institutional landing page that showcases your unique content.

  1. In Forum, open the "Admin" menu and select “Customize Landing Page.” This will be the home for all of your community collections on JSTOR.
  2. Once you create your institutional landing page, you’re ready to create pages for each collection you’ll be publishing. You’ll be prompted to create these when you add a JSTOR target to a new or  existing collection, but you can skip customization and come back to it later.

Step 2: Select where your collection will appear and the audience you’d like it to reach.

  1. Select JSTOR as the publishing destination for your content to appear in JSTOR’s Community Collections.
  2. Choose an access level for your collection: “Anyone on the open web” for all researchers on JSTOR around the world or “Your institution” to limit it to users at your institution.

Step 3: Publish your content.

  1. To maximize your content's discoverability through JSTOR's search facets and filters, check your field mappings before publishing.
  2. Now that you have your customized JSTOR target, you’re ready to start publishing your content directly from the cataloging environment.
