Implementation and Support
Each new JSTOR Forum subscriber receives eight hours of personalized support for implementation during their first year of participation. The eight hours of tailored implementation support include consultative services that are characteristic of a new subscription. Each subscribing institution has a designated implementation manager who serves as the point of contact for all training and questions. These eight hours are set aside at the beginning of your subscription so you can draw on the expertise of your implementation manager for things like metadata design, flat data import, project set-up, and tailored training sessions.
Beyond those eight hours of implementation support, the JSTOR Forum support team are available for your questions, troubleshooting, product updates, and enhancement requests. That support is unlimited and ongoing. Consultation and professional services can also be purchased directly if you require additional implementation support beyond the allotted eight hours. What constitutes implementation services versus support services is detailed below.
Implementation Services (8 hours of service included in subscription)
- Tailored consultative services including scheduled onboarding meetings, personalized training, customized communications, checkins initiated by implementation manager, workflow development, and discussing project goals. This does not include meetings to troubleshoot an issue, make an enhancement request, or anything else falling under support services.
- Scheduled personal training that falls outside of the regularly offered training webinars available to all subscribers.
Support Services (Ongoing and free support for the duration of the subscription)
- JSTOR Forum bug reporting and enhancement requests.
- Troubleshooting assistance.
- OAI, Omeka, and DPLA enablement and ongoing support.
- Ongoing support for APIs.
- Generating awareness for JSTOR Forum features and functionality.
- Enabling shared collections across institutions.
- Open dialogue in community and user group listservs.
